Sharing my private collection of world war 2 militaria
This blog is an online catalogue of my small WW2 militaria collection. It’s primarily made for myself, but perhaps you will find my different military items and collectibles interesting. It’s my intention to make a small post each time I acquire a new interesting item and this way document my collection as it grows.

If you feel for it, you’re welcome to comment on my different posts and various items. I’m still a novice when it comes to world war 2 collectibles, but I’m learning each day. I try to describe the different items in my collection as accurately as possible, but if you know things that I don’t about one or more of my items, please let me know.

About me
My name is Anders, and I’m born in 1976. I live i Denmark just outside the city of Kolding in Southern Jutland together with my beautiful wife Maria and our two little kids. I run my own small, but ambitious, advertising agency and I have a passion for communication, advertising, graphic design and, of course, World War 2.

The items found here are collected for their historical and artistic interest only. I do not in any way endorse or support the ideals represented by the different military items, war, violence or discrimination of any kind.

  1. Hello,
    I am a collector of WWII memorabilia and I recently came across and purchased a camouflaged uniform that I am unfamiliar with. I’ll briefly describe it. It is a smock which has a zipper (Talon) front and a hood. The hood has an additional flap of fabric that can be worn over the face. The pants have a drawstring waist. Instead of pockets there are slits which would seem to be to allow access to pockets of a uniform being worn underneath. The whole uniform is made of the same fabric that a mosquito net would be and it is camouflaged. Is this meant to be worn by a sniper? Are you familiar with it at all? Any help you can give in solving this mystery would be appreciated. There are some photos on my blog at;

    Thank you,

    • Todd,
      Thanks for your note. I have never seen this specific type of uniform before, but it’s very cool. To me it looks like the 3rd pattern camo pattern used by USMC in the Pacific in the late part of WW2 + in later wars. But I have never before seen – or even heard about – a USCM sniper uniform, but then again I’m not an expert in this area. By the way, it’s a very nice blog and some great stuff you have collected. Thumbs up! Take care.
